The Practice: Participation Agreement

Version 0.3 · Approved by John · November 3, 2026 · Small founding group

The Practice is a weekly room for bringing something that matters to you into lived reality. We meet Tuesdays, 2:00 to 3:00 pm Pacific, on Google Meet. The founding phase is free. Honest feedback helps shape it. The Practice is for adults 18 and older.

How we participate

We arrive, and each person has room to Return to what happened, Reveal what it showed you, and Choose what is available next. Between calls, you live it and come back. You can listen first and pass on your turn. You do not need a finished plan or a report of success.

Your choices remain yours. Ask before offering advice or a personal story, respect others’ time, and leave room for different beliefs and experiences. John facilitates and participates too. The Practice is not therapy, crisis support, or medical, legal, or financial advice.

Care for the room

Keep other people’s personal information, work, and experiences within the room. Avoid identifying people who are not present. Your own work and ideas remain yours. Confidentiality is a shared commitment, not an absolute guarantee; choose what you are comfortable sharing.

Let John know when you cannot attend or want to step away. You can return when space is available. John will speak with you about participation concerns before a pause or ending your seat, except when a serious safety, harassment, or privacy issue requires immediate action. An unfinished step or lack of progress is not grounds for removal.

Recording and AI notes

Recording, transcription and AI notes are currently off while we finish checking how session records are managed. We will tell you before this changes and confirm your separate recording choice. Once recording resumes, calls are recorded to support facilitation and follow-up; Google Meet and Gemini may also create transcripts and AI notes. John checks consent before starting and tells everyone when these features are on. If any participant has declined, the session runs without any of these features. You can change your choice by telling John; he will stop all three if you withdraw consent during a call.

John manages the session records in Google Workspace. No deletion period is promised while the access and deletion process is being verified. John cannot guarantee removal of copies someone else has saved. Session material will not be publicly attributed to you, used as a testimonial, or shared as an identifiable example without your additional permission.

Your agreement and separate recording choice

In the acceptance form, provide your name and email and confirm: “I have read and agree to Participation Agreement v0.3, including the shared privacy commitment and responsibility for my own choices.” The form records your acceptance date.

Answer separately: “I consent to session recording, transcription, and AI notes as described above” or “I do not consent.” Declining does not prevent you from participating. John checks your response before your first session and sends your welcome details and calendar invite. Please accept the invite.
